ISTIKHARA PRAYER FOR MARRIAGE

Istikhara prayer is meant to perform for seeking God’s help before starting a new task. In Muslims, Istikhara is also performed before marriage. Since marriage is a very big decision in one’s life as one have to take someone’s responsibility for a lifetime and it would be good to seek some help from God to guide him or her to take a decision of having a marriage or not. Every big decision in life or even in marriage should be taken only after performing Istikhara because God can give you the better way if he feels that your decision is not satisfying him.

Istikhara for Marriage and Divorce

Two important decisions in your life i.e. marriage and divorce needs lot of consulting before taking a decision. Because being married to someone means that you have to spend your entire life with one you have chosen as your life partner and you are ready to take your life’s partner responsibility for lifetime. In the case, if your marriage is failed or there are some tensions are going between you and your life partner which is leading to divorce then it would be not a good idea to make an instant decision to get separated from your partner as you should give your marriage an another chance to make things work properly.

Istikhara for Marriage in Urdu

Istikhara is written in Islam and many Muslims who speak Urdu and they are willing to get married, they can perform istikhara prayer for marriage in Urdu. But the question is how to perform istikhara prayer for marriage in Urdu.

Like any istikhara, you have to perform the same you used to do for istikhara written in other languages i.e. you first have to recite Surah al-Kafirun in the first raka’, which is the first cycle of nafil (a ritual prayer performed in two cycles in Islam) and then recite Surah al-Ikhlas, which is the second cycle of nafil. After the completion of nafil perform Salah tul Istikhara which is the dua or supplication. In dua, you have to mention what you want from Allah related to marriage where you recite istikhara dua for marriage.

Istikhara Dua

Dua is the practice of recitation and meditation done by sufis to ask Allah to help you in fulfilling your wish or desire. If you want to get married and some obstacles are not letting you to get married then take Allah’s help in getting rid of those obstacles by performing istikhara dua for marriage. Before performing it you have to make sure that you have full faith in Allah and you will never let him down anyhow. You also need to keep patience because Allah takes some time to listen to your wish and he will listen to your wish if you keep your full faith in him. You need to be sure that your wish is not meant to be for any bad practice otherwise your wish will not be successful.
